Reflection for Monday, 23 March 2020
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus,
I hope these daily reflections are lifting your spirits. Thank you to all who have emailed or texted your support and appreciation so far. It was a great boost to me to see over two hundred views on our first video Mass last Wednesday. We are beginning to get our feet under us here in the office. If there is more we can do to feed you spiritually, please let me know. We are trying to have the Mass videos up before noon each day, and I will try to have a daily reflection for you even on the days we don’t have a recorded Mass. Please continue to pray for those who are sick, for those who are caring for the sick, and for those who are suffering in isolation. I continue to offer my daily prayers for all of your needs. I am available for individual confessions whenever you need me, and the churches are open for prayer.
Be not afraid! Let the words of today’s Psalm lift you up:
Sing praise to the LORD, you his faithful ones,
and give thanks to his holy name.
For his anger lasts but a moment;
a lifetime, his good will.
At nightfall, weeping enters in,
but with the dawn, rejoicing.
Peace in Christ,
Father Matthew Kuhn
