Spend Quiet Time with Jesus
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus,
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” (Mark 6:31)
Jesus invites us to spend quiet time with Him away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. “Come,” He says. What an invitation! The Lord of the universe wants to spend time with me? He-Who-Is wants to be with me. What an honor!
Eucharistic Adoration is the perfect way for us to spend quiet time with Jesus. Whether we sit in silence or enjoy meditative music during our Adoration time, we are spending time with Jesus, and that is what matters. We are spending quality time with our beloved Savior. We fill our lives with so many less worthy things; can we not fill one hour with Him who gives us every hour of life? How long do we think we can go on without rest? Even a brief prayer break during our work day can have great effect on our spiritual lives.
Take a break this week, even during our business and the busy-ness of our planned vacation time. God deserves our attention and we deserve a break!
Peace in Christ,
Father Matthew Kuhn
