Dear sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus,
I want to use this space in the bulletin this week to express my heartfelt gratitude to both our parish communities.
Thank you for the many prayers you have offered for my mother. She is recovering well—much more quickly than the doctors and nurses expected. She has regained her memory and her sense of humor. She asked me to thank you for all the prayers, and to express her fondness for you. She looks forward to visiting Perham and Butler again once her doctor clears her for travel.
Thank you also for all your help with my move into the new rectory. I am now residing at 247 1st Ave SW in Perham. Special thanks to Deacon Randy for coordinating everything with our utility providers, deliveries, cleaning crew, and volunteers. Thanks to Janel Altstadt and Jennifer Moris for helping to hang pictures and decorate. Thanks to Kathy Hemmelgarn for providing goodies to the crew. Thanks, as always, to Ann, Michael, and Lisa in the St. Henry’s office for their patience as Deacon Randy and I have been occupied elsewhere so frequently these last few weeks. Thanks to the many council members and other volunteers who showed up to clean the new rectory and to move everything in.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! I am often overwhelmed by the charity of our communities, and I am very grateful to be pastor of such fine parishes. May God bless you richly for the kindness and support you have shown.
Peace in Christ,
Father Matthew Kuhn
